about

The Many-Worlds Interpretation, conceived in 1957 by the american physicist and mathematician Hugh Everett in an attempt to find an explanation to the problem of the interaction between the observer who performs a measurement with the system actually observed, establishes the principle of dimensional simultaneities: that is, two or more physical objects, reality, perception and non-physical items, they can coexist in the same space-time.
There is therefore, only one universe but more variants and therefore multiple universes.
Starting from this theory, Luca Sommariva (Insects Are Sexy) builds an album that winds through parallel paths, in which the different traces offer different landscapes, sometimes in stark contrast to each other.
From the most influenced by ambient music, through rhythmic textures, cinematic sounds and dissonances, the album leads the listener in the exploration of different realities, that can occupy the same space-time but where each event represents a turning point, a possible branch of the universe to new realities that can not interact with each other.
Of course, our time-space limitation does not allow us to include in a CD (and then a simple physical support) all possible universes and infinite futures that this theory involves. But it is just outside of the physical media, and in the mind of the listener, that these possible universes begin to evolve.

Luca Sommariva Milano, Italy

Luca Sommariva is a musician, a designer and an architect. His music route binds in a harmonious way, the design concept in a symbiosis that reveals the construction, attention to detail and aesthetic research.
The music that flows from is completely corporal: while moving in the territories of electronic music, Luca seems to be getting away from trends and schools, whatever.
